Sometimes you just want to read a blog post (or a newsletter) on your phone. But things get in the way – popups, ads, weird formatting.

The solution? Use Reader Mode.

This is a way to strip out fancy styling & inserts from news articles & blogs. It makes the content easy to read.

Setting up Reader Mode only takes a few steps, depending on your phone type.

iPhone (using Safari browser)

1. In Safari, click the aA icon on the left side of the address bar.
2. Choose ‘Show Reader More’ from the menu.
3. The browser view changes to Reader More.
4. To exit Reader Mode, repeat these steps.

Android (all browsers)

1. Install the Reading Mode app from Google’s Play Store.
2. In the app settings, tap the “Reading Mode Shortcut” switch to enable it.
3. A pop-up will ask you to confirm this. Click Allow.
4. A floating button will appear on the side of your screen. Tapping this will activate Reading Mode.
