San Francisco Bay Area furniture shoppers can now sample a local showroom's wares online, before stopping by. The showroom hopes this will make the furniture buying experience easier and more comfortable for their customers.
Giorgi Bros. Furniture in South San Francisco, a family-owned furniture store and longtime Bay Area staple (since 1933), has launched a brand-new website at http://www.giorgibros.com
. The new site gives customers a picturesque walkthrough of the
showroom's many furniture brands, from living room to home office to outdoor patio.
New Site Starts the Experience Off with Beautiful Photos, Lets Busy People Enjoy Their Furniture Shopping
Giorgi Bros boasts a 50,000 square foot showroom, full of furniture pieces for every room in a house, at 40-60% off retail.
It's not possible to put ALL of this online; inventory changes too often. But the owners have placed a large percentage of their inventory on the new website, so customers can browse online before making the trip over. The owners think this will help their customers save time, and make the buying experience more pleasant.
"Sometimes people are intimidated by the sheer volume of inventory we have," said Tom Giorgi, co-owner. "We decided to put up some of our best sellers on the website, so people could get a feel for what's available while at home. Start the experience off with a comfortable visual feel…then they can try out the comfort of our furniture first-hand."
The portfolio contains dozens of high-quality photos. All are sorted either by product type (such as Bedroom, Home Office or Sofas), or brand name (like Thomasville, Simply Amish, Hancock & Moore, American Leather).
Browse Furniture Pieces Online Before Stopping In, Find What You Like First
The new website is built using the Sitefinity 5.1 CMS, which allows for mobile-friendly browsing even with a graphics-heavy site like Giorgi's. The owners wanted the website to take the "first stage" in their buying process, so customers could feel confident they'll find the furniture piece they like at the Giorgi showroom.
"Once customers come in to visit, we have professionals ready to help them along," adds Tom. "Design consultants are in-store to guide customers where they want to go. We also have interior designers to help them fit new items into their current home setup. Our interior designers are non-commission, so there is never any pressure to buy."
"We think our new website will help furniture buyers immensely. The whole thing was built so our customers can choose what appeals to them the most, come visit the showroom, and pick out exactly what they're looking for."
