On Monday, May 21, PlanetMagpie took part in the 25th Annual “Fore the Kids” Golf Classic.
Staples Construction, our customer in nearby Ventura, brought the event to our attention last year. They’ve served as the Presenting Sponsor for 3 years now. It’s a fun part of the company’s community involvement efforts.
Their dedication inspired all of us here at PlanetMagpie to take part last year, as it did again this year, as a "Birdie" Sponsor.
Held at the Spanish Hills Country Club in Camarillo, CA, the event raises money for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Oxnard and Point Hueneme. 100% of the funds raised go to programs for local kids.
Last year, the event raised over $64,000. This year, everyone involved hoped to reach a $70,000 goal.
The Boys and Girls Club’s goal is "...to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens."
Sounds like a goal PlanetMagpie can get behind!
