Free Online Security Tools: Use These to Protect Your Email Address & Your Passwords

Beware! There are thieves lurking on the Web! Identity thieves, looking to steal information about you and your company!

Seriously, identity theft is a massive problem. Everyone needs to take some precautions to prevent it. Unfortunately, we've had clients who had trouble due to identity thieves swiping their email address, or breaking into their computers. So we built some tools to help them protect their privacy when online.

These Online Security Tools are freely available to you. Use them. Protect yourselves.

Anti-Spam Encoder

Spammers can get a hold of email addresses by scanning a website and extracting all the username@company.com addresses it contains. So every email your company has posted on their website is potentially vulnerable.

Stop this from happening by encoding these email addresses. Encoding translates an email into a format spammers can't harvest. But it still looks (and works) fine to you. PlanetMagpie's Anti-Spam Encoder tool is located here:

Password Strength Tester

Is your password strong enough to resist invasion by spyware, or persistent hacking attempts?

If you're not sure, then it's a good idea to check. Longer, more complex passwords are better able to resist attacks. The ideal password is a mix of numbers, letters and symbols, between 6-10 characters long.

Test your passwords with our Password Strength Tester here:

None of the passwords entered are saved, so don't worry.

Remember, these security tools are free for everyone's personal and business use. Send this link to friends, so they're protected too!
