Introducing Zachary Halte, PlanetMagpie's Newest IT Support Tech

PlanetMagpie is proud to welcome Zachary Halte as our newest IT Support Technician and Engineer-in-Training!

Zach joins us from Puyallup, Washington, where he worked in IT Support for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

The career path we offered Zach?  Field work, mentorship from top Microsoft engineers, and drinking IT from a fire hose!  It appealed enough to bring him down to Silicon Valley.

As an IT Support Technician on the Support team, he will perform on-site and remote IT support for customers throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. You may see Zach at your office, as he shadows fellow Support team members for a few months.  He'll meet customers, learn their IT systems, and receive training on the necessary tasks to support them.

Our Engineer-in-Training Program provides advanced IT Consulting training. Zach's current IT skills will get an upgrade, strengthening his career and improving America's IT workforce.

Zach received his bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and Administrative Management from Central Washington University.  He put that knowledge immediately to work at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. In over one year of work there, he maintained network infrastructure & responded to internal support requests. Very similar to our own Support work.

We're also glad to have Zach on the team due to his cybersecurity experience. He served as the technical advisor to Central Washington University's Cybersecurity and Ethical Hacking Club. Which means he has ground-level, real-world "white hat" hacking skills. This kind of current cybersecurity knowledge is invaluable for keeping our clients’ systems safe.

Join us in welcoming Zach to the PlanetMagpie team!
