What You’ll Need to Run Windows Server 2012
Architecture: 64-bit. Processor: 1.4GHz. Minimum RAM required: 512MB. Minimum disk space: 32GB (more required if you’re using 16GB of RAM or more).
Upgrade path is supported from Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2 servers.
Windows Server 2012 has four versions: Foundation, Essentials, Standard, and Datacenter. Some of the key differences between the versions are:
